Taylor decided to surprise me with a staycation in downtown Houston! We started off with some drinks at our favorite Midtown bar with the best view of the skyline, he later told me he wanted to propose then and there but we were interrupted by a group of intoxicated guys wearing Santa costumes, it was Midtown after all. So we went to the Marriott Marquis and after admiring the view from our awesome room we went to the pool! YES IN DECEMBER, we were laying poolside, drinking mojitos, watching people ice skate at discovery green. We had dinner reservations at 7:15 and as we were getting ready someone knocked on the door. Little did I know that was the champagne and glasses I would see later trying to be delivered EARLY! Luckily Taylor got the door and shooed them away before I noticed anything. After dinner we took a walk through Discovery Green and once we got back to the hotel I figured it wouldn’t be happening that day but it was still such a fun time I didn’t care. I unlock the hotel room and notice two champagne glasses and a bottle on the counter, confused, I turned around to ask Taylor and there he was on one knee. I don’t even remember what he said but the next thing I knew I had this beautiful ring on my finger and we were surrounded by my family in the lobby. It was perfect. We have yet to set a date but it will be sometime in the Spring of 2019.
Thank you for helping Taylor create such a beautiful ring. I will cherish this for the rest of my life! We can’t wait to come back and design the bands! ❤
