Five years ago, Page and I met through a mutual friend right before he deployed to Afghanistan on a 7 month tour. We kept in contact through FaceTime and email, all while counting down the days until his return. I was living in San Francisco at the time he returned, but we really enjoyed each other’s company and opted to try long-distance. Months passed and too many plane-trips later, I made the move to San Diego; my home town. Page finished out his contract with the marine Corps and as luck would have it, his new job would relocate him back to his hometown of Houston. 2 years after our move to Texas, Page proposed at the top of Arthur’s Sear in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was the most perfect day, one I’ll never forget.
